Your Pet's Stay at GTTK

Boarding services

Our Facility

We offer a 2400sf climate-controlled facility. 1200sf dedicated to boarding our 4 legged friends. With 20 kennels, 11 semi-isolation kennels for dogs that need a little more privacy and 10 kennels that are open concept with just the 6-foot kennel panel between one neighbor and the other. This provides for a better socialization experience. We provide Kuranda beds and stainless bowls that are cleaned and sterilized after each pets visit. We have a 1200sf indoor training area for behavioral assessment and evaluations as well as basic & advanced obedience classes.

Outdoor Area

1600sf Outdoor fenced in area for potty breaks, fun & socializing. We provide a safe, clean area on a proven kiddy mulch systems. Separation between males & females is a standard protocol unless they are family members that are typically together. Females in heat are let out separately so that no unexpected accidents take place. Males that show signs of aggression or that have fighting tendencies will be let out separately.

Playtime / Socialization

We encourage healthy and active dogs to engage in playtime and socialization. Allowing a puppy or dog to interact with other dogs and people in a controlled environment is crucial for their development.  Socialization teaches them how to appropriately communicate and behave with others, and building confidence by exposing them to a variety of experiences. In some cases dogs will need to be separated just based on personality and a host of other factors. Essentially, it's about helping them learn "dog manners" through play and interaction.

All playtime and socialization is monitored closely.

Facility / Property

Our property is fully fenced and gated 24/7, and access is by appointment only. The kennel has security keypads with a lock-jam system that prevents doors from being forced open. We also have a recorded camera system that will alert us via notification if any movement is detected outside the facility or at the front gate. We live on 11 acres in a very quiet community, but we like to cover everything.

Our facility is protected by a backup generator in the event of a power outage caused by weather or a disruption to the power grid. This will keep our 4 legged friends in a climate controlled environment and give our clients peace of mind.

Your Pet's Stay at GTTK

  • Our facility is situated in a serene, country setting.
  • We place importance on providing a pleasant, clean, healthy environment for your family and fur babies.
  • Dog boarding services run 7 days a week by appointment only. In the event of an unexpected trip or emergency, please call us to inform us.
  • The kennel room is fully heated and equipped with central air conditioning.
  • We are a fully insured kennel & facility.
  • Pets are fully monitored during their stay, and we keep a close eye on daily eating habits, potty habits, and general activity morning, noon, evening, and night.
  • At GTTK dog boarding, we offer separate housing for dogs of all sizes, including small, medium, and large.
  • Your pet will stay in their own private space for meals and sleeping. Fresh water is provided daily. Kennel sizes are 6'6" long × 4'6" wide × 6' tall.
  • We provide a raised kennel bed (or "ramp") so that your pet can lie up off the floor while in the kennel. The frame is constructed of high-density molded plastic or aluminum with chew-proof nylon ballistic matting that provides a comfortable, sanitary surface for dogs. Each platform is cleaned and sanitized daily.
  • We understand it is sometimes comforting for your dog to have a personal item (chew toy) from home while boarding. (NO cloth toys) Please note that we will provide our own raised beds, bowls and slow feeders for pets during boarding. Therefore, we ask that clients leave their personal bedding and bowls at home.  Please keep in mind that a dog may react differently while being boarded and may chew items it would not normally chew at home. Due to this, we reserve the right to remove or refuse to use any items we believe may pose a hazard to your pet during its stay with us.
  • Dogs are taken out several times a day during their stay with us for socialization, exercise, fresh air, and potty breaks (for at least 10 minutes each time). For safety reasons, males and females are not permitted to play together unless they are from the same family and are routinely housed together. Males will be paired with males, and females will be paired with females.
  • We believe dogs do much better boarding when they are fed their diet from home. Due to this, we kindly request that pet parents bring their food and treats when boarding their pet(s). If your dog has a specific diet and feeding schedule, please let us know.
  •  We strive to meet any requests our clients may have. Just as people do, some pets may have special needs. We do have a refrigerator, so if you need to bring perishable items, such as cheese or meatballs, you are more than welcome to do so.
  • Kennels are cleaned and disinfected daily. GTTK uses specialized cleaners and disinfectants designed explicitly for kennels and approved by veterinarians. We vacuum and mop each kennel daily and perform a thorough "deep clean" on our kennels every time a pet is checked out, ensuring your pet’s kennel is always clean and safe.
  • We provide hygienic, stainless steel food and water pails. At this time, we kindly request that you refrain from bringing your own bowls or dishes, as we will provide ours. Additionally, please note that we do not permit the introduction of any glass, ceramic, or breakable items into your pet's enclosure.
  • The boarding area is climate-controlled, warm in the winter, and air-conditioned in the summer.

Boarding Requirements

We require proof of immunization for your pets. While we keep this information on file and will let you know when we need updated records, it is your responsibility to provide us with proof of subsequent vaccinations.

Pet vaccinations are an essential part of a preventative health plan for your pet. Thanks to pet vaccines, your dog can live a healthier and longer life. Vaccines help build a pet's immune system and protect it from a wide range of diseases. Although they can make it less likely that your pet will contract a particular disease, they do not guarantee that your pet will not get sick. Just as a human who receives a flu vaccine can still get the flu, vaccinated pets can still fall ill or contract the disease they were vaccinated against. However, while vaccines do not necessarily prevent disease, they will likely reduce the severity of illness if your pet does get sick.

Health and Vaccinations:

  • Dogs must be at least 4 months old to board to ensure all age-appropriate vaccinations have been administered.
  • All dogs must be in good health and free of any communicable disease.
  • All pets must be up to date on vaccinations AT LEAST 7 TO 14 DAYS before their appointment.

Requirements for Dogs:

  • Rabies.
  • Distemper/Parvo.
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
  • Canine Influenza (not necessary, but highly recommended. Please ask your vet for their recommendation)

  • Puppy Vaccine Requirements: Puppies that have not completed their puppy vaccine series must have a current Bordetella vaccine, Canine Influenza vaccine (two-part series, completed) (recommended, not required at this time), and at least the first two sets of Distemper/Parvo vaccines current according to their vet paperwork. Puppies must be at least 4 months old.

Other Requirements & Policies

  • Medication Policy: If your pet is receiving any prescription medication, all medications that are administered with food must be pre-bagged and clearly labeled for each AM and/or PM feeding. If medications are administered separately from meals, please provide individual doses in a labeled container or pill organizer. If your pet requires Pill Pockets® or another treat to administer medication, please provide enough for the entire stay. This helps ensure your pet receives the correct medication at the correct time while reducing the possibility of medication errors.

  • We DO NOT provide or administer insulin injections.

Please notify us in advance if your pet requires injectable medications, refrigerated medications, or medications that must be administered at specific times outside of our normal feeding schedule.

Bedding Policy: For the health and safety of all pets in our care, we do not allow outside bedding, blankets, towels, dog beds, or similar items. Our insurance carrier requires this policy and helps prevent the possible transfer of fleas, flea eggs, ticks, and other parasites between pets and bedding. We provide clean, sanitized bedding for every boarding guest to ensure a safe and comfortable stay. This policy is in place to protect both your pet and the other dogs boarding in our kennel. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and compliance.

  • Flea and Tick Prevention: To remain a flea-free environment, an up-to-date preventive treatment is required for all pets. If your pet is not on a preventive at the time of boarding, we can provide Bravecto at the owner's expense.
  • We must be able to handle every pet safely to provide the level of care that we believe is necessary for the best boarding experience. To ensure your dog's acceptance for boarding, we require that we can safely put a leash on and take it off without incident. We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog that we cannot handle safely or that we deem aggressive.
